WD-40 is a multi-purpose lubricating spray. It has 5 main applications: Cleans, displaces moisture, Penetrates, Lubricates, Protects. WD-40 doesn’t use silicone, kerosene, water, graphite, or chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). It is safe to use on rubber, metal, wood, and most plastics (avoid use on polycarbonate and clear polystyrene plastic).
